Irving Streimer

STREIMER, Irving After many years of failing health, Irv died peacefully at home in Northridge, CA on October 1st at the age of 81. He is survived by Rita, his devoted wife of 54 years; daughters, Laura and Roberta, son-in-law, Richard; and grandchildren, Max and Hanna. Professor Emeritus at California State University, Northridge, he was a passionate educator and a moving force in the field of Human Factors & Ergonomics. His research in designing environments to enhance human performance led him from New York University to Boeing to North American Rockwell and finally to CSUN. He leaves a legacy of former students who now dot the landscape teaching, writing and producing things that improve the quality of our lives.
