Thinking of you today on what would have been your 80th birthday. We miss you but think of the many good times we spent over the years even though we lived a long way apart. With love xx

Jack and I met on our first day at senior school way back in 1956 and the friendship lasted all the years since. Jacks' family, his dad Jack, his Mum Betty and brother Geoff lived in Crouch Hill and moved to Muswell Hill in the fifties and we spent a lot of time together. The sixties was quite active and so were we and when he decided to move to the U.S.A. we stayed in touch. We tried to meet up when he came back to England and I and my wife met up with him when we were in California on the few occasions we were there. You were a good friend Jack, and I shall miss you. My many sympathies and condolences go to his family. His children Jesse, Sara and Michael and his remaining brother ,Geoff.
Goodbye old friend.

That's a lovely tribute Perrin ... and I suspect it's the one of which Jack would've been most proud. Bravo.

I only have a short memory of Jack. He was my stepfather for a few years when I was very young. My memories of him were very fond and he was caring and kind. More fatherly and warm than I had known. I feel privileged to have know him for a short while in my childhood x

Sorry and sad to lose my
good friend. We met at Tollington Grammar School, Muswell Hill 67 years ago and we were very close as was John Mogsie Morgan.
The three of us were always together throughout our teenage and career lives, until he moved `across the pond´. I Still in touch with his wife Shandy until she passed last year, but remain in touch with his step-daughters Rusty and Perrin who are also sad at his passing.
So many memories, so much fun. He will be missed.

My sincerest sympathy to the family of Jack Oliver. The above link is a video in which Ken Mansfield, who was the US manager of Apple Records, talks about his book, "The White Book." Included in the video is a conversation between Ken and Jack Oliver.

I met Jack through our shared passion for old cars.
He became a dear `all weather´ friend who always told it the way it was.
He showed me that style has no bounds and his witty phrases would often stop me in my tracks.
He was caring and giving and was there for me when I needed a friend.
I´m proud and humbled to have shared so many happy times and moments together.
I miss him now and I always will.

I met Jack when I was 15, when he had hair and was known to all as Jack The Raver. We recorded together for Decca with a spectacular lack of success as The Chocolate Watch Band before splitting and going our separate ways due to "musical similarities". Proud to say he always credited me with having "dragged him into the music business" and even prouder to say we had a 60 year friendship without a cross word. My world will be a little colder and a lot less fun without him. Love to all.... Gary Osborne
