Jason Baldwin Obituary

Baldwin, Jason Patrick
Died on November 19, 2005, at the age of 35 years in a tragic accident when the Cessna 210 airplane in which he was a passenger crashed into the Pacific Ocean three miles off Dana Point, California. Jason was born in Laguna Beach, California, on December 30, 1969. He graduated from Harbor Day School in Corona del Mar, Laguna Beach High School and USC, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business. He is President of Rimrock Communities, a Southern California homebuilding company. Jason lived life to the fullest-more so than most people. He sailed around the world at age 15 with his family, becoming a world-class sailor, spear fisherman and surfer. He is a champion off-road racer both in the desert series and short course races. He has touched thousands of lives. Jason Baldwin is survived by his wife, Eve Baldwin; daughters Annabelle, age six, and Sabrina, age two; his parents Nancy and Jim Baldwin; sisters Jami Baldwin and Kelley Renezeder; brother Joshua Baldwin; grandmothers Rita Baldwin and Shirley Mayfield. Our hearts are broken with your loss, Jason. You will be in our thoughts and prayers every day, now and forever. The Rosary will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Newport Beach on Monday, November 28, at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Queen of Angels on Tuesday, November 29, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to "The Neuman Olauson Irrevocable Trust" in care of JPB Development, 270 Newport Center Drive, Suite 200, Newport Beach CA 92660.

I am so very sorry about the loss of Jason. Words can't even begin to describe what a wonderful person he was. The first time I met Jason I felt like I had known him my entire life. He was such a warm, laid back person who always knew how to make people comfortable and was easy to talk to. My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Baldwin family. Please always remember this statement: PRAYER- When life gets so hard and you feel as if you can barely stand..........kneel.

I only knew Jason through his off road racing, and he was always an inspiration to me. His love of the sport and passion for life was the emphasis of everything he did!! His passing was incredibly shocking and completely tragic. However, hopefully knowing that there are so many people who knew and loved Jason will be of some comfort to the Baldwin family. The entire Baldwin and Renezeder families will be in my prayers. God bless.

We recently attended the CORR event in Otay and met Jason. An autographed poster hangs on my son's bedroom wall. Thank you for all you have given to us and to the sport of racing.
