In the 1980's, I worked two jobs, Dorman-Winthrop being my part time employment. I was just out of the Navy and readjusting to a different world. Jay Winthrop was far and away one of the best employers one could ask for. He was kind and had a way of making his employees look forward to coming to work. I have great memories of those days and of Jay.

I worked for Dorman-Winthrop from 1979- 1983. Jay was a very kind man and an excellent "boss" to work for. He was always concerned about the people that worked with and for his company. I took much of what Jay taught me and applied to my personal and work life. Thank you Jay !

Jay Winthrop was an amazing man. I worked at Dorman Winthrop in my late teens to my early 20's. He was always kind and a pleasure to see when he would come by the store. He took the time to show and explain fabrics, fits and styles. And always took the time to ask about me. He always had kind words and made me smile. Thank you Jay, you will be missed
