Jean Burgoyne Obituary

Jean C. Burgoyne

Chesapeake - Jean C. "Gree" Burgoyne passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she is predeceased by her parents Lemuel and Clara Windroth Eichner and her sister Carol Lee Lambert.

Jean was a master family orchestrator, raising her family, working full time, and taking care of relatives and friends with her boundless energy, determination, and love of family. There was nothing she couldn't do, and everyone that knew her was the better for knowing her.

Jean is survived by her devoted husband David of 58 years, her daughter Debby and husband Frank Hunt of Chesapeake, Va., her son David Jr. and wife Leslie of Abingdon, Maryland, much beloved grandchildren Kaitlin and husband Kyle Kuznof Dineen of Cincinatti, Ohio, Patrick Hunt and his girlfriend Natalie Higgins of Chesapeake, Va., and her beloved kitties Millie, Scarlet, and Begonia.

The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their love and support, and especially the dedicated and devoted medical staff who helped her so much, which included Dr. Michael Sotosky and his staff, the Chesapeake Regional Hospital staff, especially "2 West" and her ER friends, her friends at Cedar Road Patient First, the Chesapeake Regional Hospice staff, the caring attendants provided by First Choice Nurses, and all her wonderful and caring friends at Cedar Manor. The care, compassion, and love these kind people showed our "Gree" will never be forgotten.

A private prayer service will be held, and in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be offered to the family through hdoliver.com.
