Jeanette Benardello Obituary

November 15, 1938 - September 23, 2025 Jeanette "Jean" Rosalie Sutera Benardello, born November 15, 1938, in Bayside, Queens, NY, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 23, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband John, grandson Johnny, and siblings Marianne, Joseph, Geraldine, and Elaine. She is survived by her children John, Thomas, Rosemarie, and Joseph; granddaughter Jeanette; great-grandson Andre; and great-great-granddaughter Amara Jean.
A proud first-generation Sicilian, Jean was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1972 and remained devoted to her faith. Known for her generosity and devotion to family, she created a warm home filled with Italian meals, laughter, and love. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, loved traveling to Italy, Sicily, Paris, and Australia, and was an enthusiastic basketball fan-whether in her grandson's gym or at the Staples Center during the Kobe–Shaq era. Her guiding motto was, "Always do the right thing."
Jean will be remembered for her faith, kindness, and love, and will be deeply missed until we see her again in a perfect world where "death will be no more". Rev 21:4
