Kay, John, Renee, Caitlin, Megan & Family:
I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I was fortunate to meet Kay & Jack at Renee & John's wedding and again at my house in Napa, CA. I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the holidays and getting to know my Niece, Renee's, Mother-and-Father-In-Law. I wish I had more time to spend getting to know Jack better but I've learned a lot about him in reading this beautiful Obituary. He was a man that loved his family, the outdoors, music and gourmet meals. He was educated, served his country and had many prestigious jobs and loved to travel. This is a difficult time in life for all of you. Allow your family and friends to offer you love and support as you grieve. And, also from experience, as your friend below said it perfectly, Kay, in time, the sun will definitely shine again.
Hugs, Prayers & Condolences,
Sandy "DeeDee" Corrigan

Kay, I am so sorry to hear of Jack's death. I won't be able to attend the service as I no longer live in LA County, but I will be thinking of you at the time of the service. Even though this may seem to be one of the darkest times in your life I know from personal experience that the sun will shine again for you as it did for me when I also lost a loved one. Give yourself time to mourn and the healing will come. Ranier (a friend from International House at the Univ. of Chicago)

Dear Kay
Our hearts are saddened; our sympathy extended to you and all the family. We knew Jack as classmates at East Hartford High, and enjoyed many school and other activities with our mutual friends.
In 1954 Jack acquired a bright red antique 1938 sedan; his mom reupholstered the seats for him in red plaid. it was christened "the Bomb." Jack was so proud he could share his wheels with us! In our Class Yearbook he was christened "Class Chatterbox," and "never without an answer." Our 2006 Class Reunion was the last time we saw you and Jack; we had met only once before in 1991 to dine with you both in LA.
We pray for Jack and all the family, and know you have many more wonderful memories than ours to console you in your loss.
