Our deepest sympathies to you, Jan and Family. Michael and I worked with Joe for several years at North American Aircraft in El Segundo. Joe always had a joke or a story. I particularly enjoyed his mountain climbing stories. He had his gear and backpack calculated to the nearest gram so that it was correctly balanced. He was meticulous in everything he did and was well respected. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of sorrow.

Condolences to the Goss family. I happened on Joe's obiturary on Dec. 31, remembering that I had once worked with someone by that name at Rocketdyne in l960. I was a secretary for the engineers under Floyd Twight "Flip" and Joe was one of the engineers. I was a 22 year old newlywed and only worked there less than a year because i became pregnant and that meant I had to leave. I'm sorry for your loss. Barbara Benford Trafficanda

Farewell, Joe; Good friend, neighbor, patriot, warrior, poet, inventor, explorer, artist, and the list goes on. Lloyd and I learned so much from you, especially on the off-road, four-wheeler trips in which you shared your knowledge of ancient habitation sites, petroglyphs, and geology. It was a privilege to know you, and you will be sorely missed. A hand salute to you!
