In loving memory of Joseph Medina, who passed away on June 17, 2002, in Northridge, California, due to complications following heart surgery. He was 49 years old. He is survived by a loving family: his wife, Lynn Medina; children, Matthew Medina, Nicole Villasenor, Melody Medina, and Joey Medina; grandson, Jakob Villasenor; sisters, Rita Gonzalez, Rosalie Vasquez, and Carmen Finn; son and daughter-in-law Nicholas Villasenor and Jenny Wang Medina; numerous nephews, nieces, and many devoted friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his eldest sister Norma Gutierrez, of Ventura, California, on December 23, 2001. Joe was born in Santa Barbara, California, the fifth and youngest child of Jose and Margaret Medina. He is a graduate of Bishop Garcia Diego High School in Santa Barbara and recently celebrated 20 years as an audio engineer for ABC Television. Among his many interests and accomplishments were a great love and nearly encyclopedic knowledge of film and music, an innate gift for engineering, and an incredible warmth and humor that touched everyone who knew him. We will all miss and love him very dearly, and celebrate the rich life that was prematurely taken from us. A memorial service will be held Today at 2:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn, Hollywood Hills http://www.forestlawn.com.
