Judith Gelb Obituary
Judi was born on July 17, 1944 in New York City to Mildred and Nathan Tanenbaum. She graduated from Brooklyn College receiving her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education. Judi was most proud to dedicate her life to supporting her husband and raising three daughters, who were also her best friends.
Judi met Arthur in the summer of 1965 and they married 2 years later. They enjoyed disco dancing, culinary adventures, traveling, and cherishing family moments. Judi had a thirst for knowledge particularly related to popular culture and current events. She was a voracious reader, always catching the latest reads from her favorite authors and devouring her favorite trifecta every day: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the Los Angeles Times. As a skilled Mahjong and Rummikub player, she was tough to beat! Judi had a love for fashion and penchant for collecting her favorite designers. She was well regarded for having exquisite taste and style. Judi was also an avid supporter of local and international charities that provided relief services close to home and in Israel.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Park - 6001 W Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90045. The family asks that In lieu of flowers you make a donation to the Jewish National Fund (www.jnf.org).

Arthur, just to follow up on our conversation last evening, I am truly saddened by Judy´s sudden death and its impact on you and your girls. We now have a common bond of having lost our dear loved ones after many years of happy marriage. I hope to be in California next winter and will definitely see you. Mrs. Glen was my social studies teacher, at Ditmas Junior High School in Brooklyn New York in 1967 she was an excellent teacher and I enjoyed her classes. I remember when she got married and then she moved to California. I just heard of her passing and I am so sorry I would like to extend my condolences to her husband and the entire Gelb family.
