I worked for Dr Kathy Wishner in the 80´s. She was an amazing physician and a wonderful human being.

Kathy was a wonderful colleague and friend of mine. We worked together at Lilly. I was legal counsel to her and her team. She could be depended upon to do what was right for the patient, which was always in turn what was best for our company as well. She had a kind spirit and a strong sense of purpose; she wanted to improve the lives of children with diabetes, adults as well. She is missed.

I worked at Children's Hospital Los Angeles when Dr. Wishner was an intern there. I remember her as outstanding not only for her singular focus but the hand-embroidered child-friendly scene that filled the back panel of her lab coat.

I loved her dearly and miss her immensely. She was a wonderful sister in law. She was always sweet and caring to everyone. A deep hole of despair is felt by our entire family and I can only express my deepest sympathy and condolences to my beloved brother Bill for this tragic loss of his soul mate.

I have fond memories of Kathy from our time together at Eli Lilly and Company. She was a Senior Medical Director in the Diabetes Business Unit and I served as her legal counsel. Kathy was always a consummate professional with a keen sense of fairness, ethics and always concerned for patients and the doctors that treated them. She was also a lot of fun to work with. Please accept my sincere condolences. She was a very kind woman and will be sorely missed.

Dear Bill. I am so sorry to hear about Kathy! I admired the work you were doing, at the times our careers crossed, and regret not seeing you both more often. I have been re-connected with City of hope recently, via a committee appointment, and this contact brought up great memories of time spent with you both and Dr Rachmiel Levine. God bless Kathy for her devotion to medicine and especially to the care of our patients with diabetes Seymour R Levin, MD (Sy)
