Dear Gerrie,
So sorry to hear of Kaye's passing just today. As you know, he provided me great training and allowed me and others to spread our wings in research. I am forever in his debt, and said so when I gave the first John Peters Lecture in LA on April 8. 2014. I asked the organizers to do their best to find Kaye and invite him to the talk and dinner, but I gather that the connection was not made, which I regret.
Mary joins me is sending our best to you and your family at this difficult time.

Dr. Kilburn helped me recover my health. Words cannot express how grateful I am to him and his family. He will be truly missed.

Dr. Kilburn was a pillar of strength and knowledge to those in disadvantaged areas trying to keep their homes and communities safe. We will miss this passionate and compassionate human being. Those of us fortunate to know him, loved him. Blessings to his family.
