Dear Gerrie,

So sorry to hear of Kaye's passing just today. As you know, he provided me great training and allowed me and others to spread our wings in research. I am forever in his debt, and said so when I gave the first John Peters Lecture in LA on April 8. 2014. I asked the organizers to do their best to find Kaye and invite him to the talk and dinner, but I gather that the connection was not made, which I regret.

Mary joins me is sending our best to you and your family at this difficult time.

Dr. Kilburn was a great man who dedicated his career to helping others and protecting public health. He will be sorely missed in the field of environmental medicine.

My heart goes out to his wife and children.
