Kelly Romick Obituary

Romick, Kelly Troup April 30, 1962-March 11, 2002 Kelly Troup Romick was born in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in the valley when orchards still covered parts of it and she could ride her horse, free, in the open fields. At home, the house was always filled with family, friends, and lots of music. Music especially because her mom was the great singer Julie London and her dad was the songwriter Bobby Troup of "Route 66" fame. Everyone was welcome and often, people came and never left. In her adult life, she brought that same open spirit to her life, but the magic of Kelly made it infinitely more special. Kelly, a lover of life, family, friends, roses, animals, laughter, playfulness, and long intimate conversation into the wee hours of the morning was universally adored by men, women, children and animals. If there were ever a line that summarizes Kelly, it would be this one from "The Wizard of Oz". When the Wizard turns to the tin man, and gives him the heart he has longed for, the Wizard says, "Remember my galvanized friend, a heart is not judged by how much you love, but by how much you are loved by others." No one was more loved than Kelly Troup Romick. Kelly is survived by her loving husband Steven, her beautiful daughters Aidan and Amelia, her sisters Cynnie, Ronne and Lisa, her brothers Jody and Reese as well as her huge extended family and friends in Los Angeles and Pennsylvania. Memorial services honoring Kelly will be held at 1:30 on Friday, March 15, at Wilshire Boulevard Temple, 3663 Wilshire Boulevard. As much as Kelly loved flowers and gifts, instead, please send donations to Phase One for cancer research and treatment. Call 310-264-9890.

I remember when I showed you how to jump off the diving board in your parents pool on Royal Oak in Encino. You were a special person and always hanged around with us big kids that were friends of Stacy and Lisa in High School. God Bless you always, Ed O'Donnell
