Lawrence Williams Obituary

Williams, Lawrence Born February 24, 1913 in Boston, MA and passed away July 30, 2002 in Tarzana, CA. Williams devoted his professional life to portraiture. He opened his first studio in 1932, in Boston, MA. In 1954, he opened Portrait Arts, in Burbank, and relocated to Sherman Oaks in 1999. Notable portraits include Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and 15 Rose Bowl Queens. He continued to work as an artist until earlier this year. Williams is preceded in death by beloved wife Gloria, is survived by daughter, Barbara, and will be missed by many friends, especially those from his second home in Palm Desert where he enjoyed spending time. Services will be held Friday, today, August 2nd, 2002, at 2:30 p.m. at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
