Leonard I think of you all the time. Every interaction with you left a permanent mark on me. You corrected my course and gave me more knowledge and guidance than a person could ever ask for. I am eternally grateful for the gift of your presence in my life. I love you. :) - Claudia

Leonard was in my dream last night as he often visits me in my dreams. I loved Leonard so much and miss him terribly. He keeps in touch, as he appears in my dreams, so it is next to having him here, but of course not exactly the same.

Leonard was like a second father to me and I loved him so much. I pray for him day and night as he was in my life since I was only a few years old. Loved his wonderful mother and father too.

Leonard Grainger was a family friend for two generations. First as a close friend to my father songwriter Buddy Kaye (and my mother Lillian) dating back to the late-40s. I will always remember him driving his white 1957 Thunderbird into our driveway in Forest Hills when I was 11 years-old and his pride of owning that car. He remained a close friend of mine and of our family through the decades to come. His generosity and sage wisdom in matters of show business was unending. Most memorable was the opening of his Beverly Hills home to our family, and dozens of guests, to celebrate my mother and fathers 40th anniversary - and again in 2008 when I produced a staged reading of GARBO ...the Musical at the Court Theatre in Los Angeles, when Leonard, the gourmet cook, insisted on catering two opening night parties (and would not accept repayment for his expenses). In his final years I had the opportunity to visit with him on many occasions and he loved talking about family members and the old times. Leonard was a true and loving friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed and always remembered.

Leonard was the kindest ,most generous Gentlemen on Earth.
I shall pray for Him for the rest of my days for I have so much to be grateful for. Leonard opened his house and his heart for me when I was down in luck at some point in my life. He had a beautiful soul
and very intriguing personality .Leonard was the most amazing host, not only in Beverly Hills but in general sense. His home was always opened to his friends and people he cared for.
He loved his dogs and treated them accordingly.
I hope that Good God has had a special place prepared for Leonard
for He was very SPECIAL MAN.
Rest in peace my dear FRIEND and savior .I shall always cherish your kindness and your spirit.
Your "soldier",
Robert.

Leonard was a wonderful and generous man. We met when he heard me singing in a local restaurant, and he soon after took me under his wing and sought to help me with my career. I was an ego-driven young man who didn’t fully appreciate the depth and purity of his kindness. A big influence on me in many ways, and those years when I still lived in Los Angeles are a very special memory, as is Leonard. Rest In Peace.

Leonard was the most wonderful man and also my cousin.
I loved him dearly and he had a heart of gold and a very wise
man. So sad to see him go, but he will always be in my heart and dreams.
