Lia Printup Obituary

Lia Jeanne "Mitzi" Printup passed away on February 21, 2025, at her home in Montrose, CA. Born and raised in Glendale, CA, Mitzi graduated from Glendale High School and went on to attend UCLA with her high school sweetheart, Carter Alston "Cap" Printup, whom she eventually married. Together, they built a life filled with love, adventure, and fun.
Mitzi was a talented ballerina and stage dancer in her early years before settling down to start a family. She dedicated herself to raising her children, creating a warm and nurturing home filled with love and laughter, always keeping up with her "exercise classes" and even becoming an aerobics instructor on the side.
She and her husband, Cap, who passed away in 2014, enjoyed an active lifestyle filled with tennis, sailing, skiing, and traveling the world together. Mitzi had a remarkable ability to connect with people and seemed to know someone everywhere she went. Her warm smile, quick wit, and friendly demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Mitzi is survived by her loving children, Carter Alston Printup III, Vicki Beachman, and Kathy Strang. She loved being grandmother to Chip Beachman (23), Bryson Strang (20), and Tyler Strang (18). She will be remembered for her kind soul, generosity, and the love and fun she shared with all who knew her.
