Lisa Dubow Obituary

DUBOW , Lisa
Beloved wife of Mark Rivin, mother of Sean Twersky, daughter of Phyllis Dubow, sister of Linda Eifer and Lorrie Dubow Stone died July 24 following a courageous and valiant nine-year battle with colon cancer at the age of 51.
After being diagnosed, Lisa dedicated her life to colon cancer awareness and patient advocacy through her work with the Colorectal Cancer Coalition and numerous other charitable and political organizations. She was recognized by the state of California by receiving the "Outstanding Leadership and Advocacy Award" in recognition of her tireless efforts and steadfast commitments to improving the quality of healthcare for all Americans.
Lisa spent considerable time and effort speaking before congressional subcommittees to educate our representatives regarding cancer issues and funding.
She opened her heart to innumerable other cancer patients compassionately providing advice, guidance and emotional support. Her spirit will live on in all those fighting cancer for their lives.
