Lisa Sauber Obituary

Lisa Sauber's light stopped shining June 17, 2025, when she passed away at 62 in South Carolina after a difficult battle with breast cancer.
Lisa was a moonbeam - from her smile to her glitter to her interest in everyone. Her life was adventurous. She pursued her passion for acting in New York and California. Lisa coached others pursuing their creativity, which brought her great joy. Lisa was a lifelong learner, an avid researcher, reader and would always try to help others.
Lisa's light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
Lisa was preceded in death by her brother Jim Sauber. She is survived by her mother Alix Bohlmeyer, her father Bertrand Sauber, her sister Stephanie Rowat (Mark), her nephew Eric Sauber (Erica), and niece Anne Sauber (Erek).
The family plans to have a celebration of life and burial in late summer 2025 in the Upper Peninsula, Michigan.
Memories of Lisa can be sent to: MMurphy, 198 Okatie Village Drive, Ste 103-Box 403, Bluffton, SC 29909.

I met Lisa in 1987 and spent some time with her working and travelling together, it was a special time which I never forgot. I managed to reconnect with Lisa towards the end of 2023 sharing those memories and our stories since. She is a beautiful person inside and out and it is with great sadness to read about her passing.

I have known Lisa for many, many years. She will remain a shining star in my heart. From now until forever. She loved her family her friends and strangers alike. She found truth, humility and light in the darkness. Lisa will always be cherished... With enigmatic talent never to be forgotten.

We were good friends for a few years up on Mackinac island back in in the summer of the late 70s. Early 80? Which seems like a very long time ago but she was a beautiful fun loving woman who I adored very much I believe she left for Colorado and I was working on restoring the grand hotel and had other projects on the island with the musser family so we hung out ,went for long bike rides walks along the beach/Shore would have loved to have kept up with her but were both young and trying to find our best interests and direction to , I saw her on Facebook a few years back but didn´t know how to connect with her it had been so long since we had talked? Anyway she was a very sweet/beautiful woman and I´m so sad to hear this news about her!!!!RIP!!!!

Lisa was a wonderful roommate and friend. Although our time together was somewhat fleeting, she made a lasting impression in my life.

After I broke my wrist, she was wonderfully caring to me in every way, including even wrapping all my Christmas gifts in 2023, which she did masterfully. We had a lot of fun and shared a mutual passion for theater and learning and finance. She was very savvy and if she wasn´t sick, would have pursued lots of entrepreneurial endeavors.
She was also the epitome of elegance with her tall graceful frame and beautiful face with an amazing smile.
Every Saturday night, she waited for her dad´s phone call. She had a deep love for her family.
My deepest condolences to her sister, Stephanie, mom and dad.
I will miss Lisa, and she will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
