Louise Julian Obituary

January 13, 1930 - January 11, 2015 Louise Barnes Julian, born Jan.13, 1930, slipped away peacefully on Jan.11, 2015 due to complications of Alzheimer's. Born in Rosiclare, IL, Louise was raised in Gainesville, FL and moved to Los Angeles at 18. Her first marriage to Rudy Schrager ended in divorce but in 1966 she married the love of her life, Artie Julian, who predeceased her in 1995. Their shared passions were laughter, travel and horse racing. Survivors include the luckiest stepdaughter in the world, Mady Julian; Louise's true bff, Jo Carroll Dennison; loyal friends, Francoise and Jean Pierre Dupuis, Lee Ray and Pam Gates; her devoted cat Tino; loving caregivers Dorla Henry, Joan Smith and Angela Garbutt; niece and nephew Linda and Michael Clement, and numerous friends and acquaintances who found Louise to be at all times beautiful, gracious, and a profound optimist. Her kindness stayed with her to the end.

Dr. Susan Schrager

Louise was married first to my father. I visited with them on many Saturdays. She was a wonderful, beautiful, fun and classy person. They had a Royal Standard poodle named Didot whom she adored. It was probably not easy to have a ten year-old as a regular visitor. Louise was great. I saw her again when she came to my father's memorial service in 1983. I was so touched. I am so glad that she had such a wonderful marriage with Artie. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

I knew Louise during the time that she was married to my father, Rudy Schrager. She was a beautiful, loving, gracious person. She loved her dog, Didot...a black Royal Standard poodle. She was filled with joy when she returned from a great tour of Europe. I know how happy she was with Artie. She came to my father's funeral...which was so kind of her. My most heartfelt condolence to her family.
