Washington, Lucy Doheny
Lucy Doheny Washington passed away peacefully at home. She is survived by her three children, Laurence Van Cott Niven, Michael Crombie Niven and Cynthia Niven Griffin, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, her brother, Patrick Anson Doheny and his wife Sandy, sisters-in-law Josh, Onnalee and Topsy Doheny, in addition to many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husbands, W. Van Cott Niven and Porter Washington, and her brothers, Larry, Bill and Tim Doheny.
Her great passion in life, other than her family, was the breeding and showing of dogs. Her main breed was Keeshonds. She had the top winning Kees in the country for decades taking Best in Show well over one hundred times during her career.
Her children adored her and will miss her forever. To her caregivers, a deep sense of gratitude from all of us. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Los Angeles SPCA.
