Behan, Mana (Arletta) Saratoga Springs: July 6, 2014. Behan, Mana (Arletta). Mana died peacefully on Murray Island, NY on July 6, 2014. I miss you so much and love you always. I want to laugh with you again. Perhaps in some way you can hear me now. Thinking about you soothes my heart, dear one. Be my angel, Mana. I smile remembering the time we were at that storage unit in Berkshire County, struggling in the pouring rain to stuff a huge futon into an overflowing unit before it was completely soaked. We did it!

Dear Mana. In all of my 67 years on this planet I have had only one person that I looked up to and could call my inspiration and hero . it was you ..I took your Yoga classes inlate 90's and early 2000's I didnt know how to relax and my daughter Melanie had been taking your classes for a while and she said mom ,you need to meet mana and try some yoga , you quickly became a friend and mentor to me .I wish I could have continued to come to you but sometimes life gets compicated. My daughter cut you hair for years and through her I was able to see how you were doing ..I will truely miss you and respect you for all of my life .you were my one and only HERO .I love and miss you LInda Thomas

Mana, I miss you. I had a good time with you on June 29 at One Big Roof and Coffee Trader where we meet every Sunday for meditation and coffee. We had a good time with friends –Dan, Al, Mira and I then we said good bye. I love the way you made me feel loved and relevant with you warmed embrace and inspiring thoughts. You are an inspiration to us all, you made me feel safe and strong when I was concerned and lonely. I know you still with me, even when I feel devastated about your death, I really miss you Mana. I wish I knew so that I could properly express my gratitude.

Your beloved,

Linda

I love mana like my own mother. We spent time together having lunch at Ms London's. I enjoyed so very much hearing about her journey through life. Her spirituality was infectious and inspirational. As so many others will agree u couldn't leave her without feeling blessed by her friendship. I miss her very much and will miss spending time with her. I know she's in good company where ever that may be.

I met Mana just once at a weekly meditation gathering, during a period of great struggle in my life. She gave me a tremendous hug and kiss out of no where and sang my praises...i will never forget her sincere kindness to a complete stranger. I regret not getting to know her further but clearly she made a tremendous impact on many people and perhaps one encounter was enough to remember her positivity and resilient attitude.

I'm forever grateful for every moment I spent in Mana's life transforming presence at One Roof and One Big Roof in Saratoga Springs. She was truly heaven-sent!

Mana was my second yoga teacher back in the early nineties and then again over the past few years. i loved the spiritual messages she brought to our class. It was never just physical, but always deeply connected to the oneness we all share.
Mana, I feel your presence and know you will be with us always, in the gentle breezes on our walks and in the gentle nudge to "straighten the spine"
As you said often, "you are love itself"

Mana was so alive just two weeks ago in our last yoga session with her. We thought of her as eternal, and in some ways she remains so. She taught us about gratefulness, peace, self-awareness and self-acceptance, especially as she could admit her own challenges and struggles to align practice with precept. We miss her greatly.

Mana was my friend for 26 years. I can honestly say that I never once felt angry towards her, and I never directed anger at me. We just loved each other. Softly. Gently. Simply. So easy. She was the very definition of a good person. Having spent time with her is one of the rare, utmost blessings in my life, and just thinking of her brings peace to my heart. Thank you, Mana. Shanti, shanti, shanti, sweetest friend.

Mana was Aunt Artletta to me. A kind and wonderful soul in a sea of kids and nearly continuous chaos. She transcended it all with tranquility and a gentle, loving spirit. I will deeply miss her.
Much Love,

Mana and I have known each other since our days at Kripalu 1988. I'm finding it very difficult to think of her as gone. I thought she would live forever. She is my hero. I will miss our walks and talks. She was such a light to all she came in contact with. A gentle, loving being like I will never meet again. Life will not be the same without her! I love you Mana! My life is so much richer for having known you. So many loving memories of time spent with you will live in my heart forever!
Peace!!
