Mansour Parsi Obituary

1925 - 2015 The board and staff of American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev are deeply saddened by the passing of Mansour Parsi, entrepreneur, family man, philanthropist, and friend. In 1978, Mansour immigrated to Los Angeles from Iran with his family, where he built a successful business and continued the generous philanthropy on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people that he began in Iran. He and his beloved wife, Nahid, began supporting Ben-Gurion University in 1998, becoming major donors to research and development programs in water desalination, solar energy, desert agriculture, and more. Mansour was a giant among men and will be sorely missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Nahid; to his children Sam and Shirin, Alex, Shahab, and Shahin; and to his grandchildren, Eli, Lela and Matthew. Lloyd Goldman, National President Ruth Flinkman-Marandy, National Vice President Doron Krakow, Executive Vice President Philip Gomperts, Regional Director
