Marilyn Dillow Obituary

DILLOW, Marilyn Livingston "Tule"
Passed away on March 3 at her home in Brea after a courageous fight against advanced breast cancer. Born July 3, 1946, in Fresno, and a long-time resident of Los Angeles and Orange counties, Tule was accomplished as an actress, a photographer and an artist, and was the creator of the art and literary website called Tulevision.com. A beloved wife, mother and friend, Tule was a woman of beauty and laughter, and love and grace; the world is a sadder place for not having her in it. A memorial service was held March 7 at her Orange County home in Carbon Canyon, the place she loved best, attended by the people she loved and who loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon; her cherished son, Jordan Zevon; her father, John Livingston of Madera; her cousins Cindy Mosk and Les, Bill and John Bridges; and her uncle and aunt, Joe and Kay Bridges.

Tule is my cousin, my friend, my sister. Now she is my angel, who watches over me to make sure I am living in "simple abundance." She will continue to teach me to slow down; that life is not a race. That small things matter, like birds and flowers. I will miss her holding my hand during trials ahead. She will be holding my heart instead.
