Marion Mur Obituary
February 6, 1920 - September 30, 2012
Passed away September 30 in Ventura. She was 92. Born in Crystal, Maine, Marion grew up on a family farm and taught elementary school after graduating from Aroostook State Normal School in Presque Isle, Maine. During WWII, Marion met Army First Lt. John F. Mur. They married on March 3, 1946 and settled in Culver City, where they raised three daughters. Marion taught at Tiny Tot Preschool in Los Angeles and was active in the Mormon Church. She is survived by husband John, sisters Charlotte Corriveau and Ellie Muir, daughters Barbara Turner and Teresa Lee, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by daughter Linda Higley.
A graveside service was held on October 6 at Inglewood Park Cemetery.
