Marion Wallien Obituary
November 2, 1924 - March 5, 2013
Marion Wallien passed away peacefully, much loved by family and friends. Survived by her son Andy, daughter-in-law Alen, and their son Kyan. Additional survivors include stepchildren Toni and Danny and 6 grandchildren. Predeceased by her dearest husband Byron, Marion cherished her family. Marion was born in Ogden, Utah and raised in Glendale, California. She was trained as a nurse and lived her life with a matchless personal style that was evident in her home, dress and demeanor. Marion was an ardent reader, quilter and conversationalist with a keen interest in others. She loved summers on Balboa Island with family and friends. On June 11, 1964 Marion had a moment of clarity that grew to 48 years of divine usefulness. Her example was a beacon of suffering transmuted by grace for many. She left an immeasurable mark on the lives of the many women she mentored. On April 6, 1968 Marion married her beloved Byron at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Santa Monica. They enjoyed 35 years of mutual esteem, constancy and love.
Funeral mass Wednesday, March 13th at 10:00 am, Our Lady of the Assumption, 435 Berkeley Ave, Claremont.
