Mary Cislo Obituary

Cislo, Mary Kate
May 14, 1922 - January 31, 2011
On Monday, January 31, 2011, our Little Irish Mother left us for the green pastures of Heaven.
She leaves behind her son and daughter, Mark Cislo and Anastasia Duignam, her remaining sister, Theresa, who resides in England, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
She was born in Mullingar Ireland and became part of the large Catholic family of James and Julia Duignam. She came to America in mid 1950 where she eventually settled in Sierra Madre, California, and resided there for over 50 years.
At only five foot one inch, she was well known for her Gift-of-the-Gab, as well as being a humorous, fiery, witty, compassionate, and thoughtful person. She left a lasting impression with everyone she met. She was also a very well read, intelligent individual, who could speak to a number of topics such as politics, finance / business, cultures of the world, and world history. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Rita Catholic Church in Sierra Madre located at 318 N. Baldwin Avenue. Her place of interment will be at Sierra Madre Pioneer Cemetery.
