Mary Mathews Obituary

May 26, 1939 - August 14, 2021 Mary Louise Albanese Mathews, 82, of Los Angeles, CA passed away on August 14, 2021 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease 8 years prior. She was born in Dunmore, PA on May 26, 1939 to Bernetta (Cicero) & Benjamin Albanese. They moved to Hollywood, CA when Mary Lou was 9. When she was 12, her sister and only sibling, Bernadette, was born. Mary Lou graduated from Immaculate Heart High School in 1956. After having 4 children and becoming a single mother, Mary Lou worked for the Public Defender's Office in Los Angeles County for over 26 years, retiring in 2004. She is survived by her 3 sons Benny (Holly), Thom (Karla), and David; daughter Marie (Matt); 5 grandchildren: Bentlee, Parker, Conner, Miles, and Katherine; sister Berna; and niece Danielle. Mary Lou reunites with her beloved parents and furbabies to rest in heavenly paradise. Her spunk and big heart will be missed tremendously.

I adored Mary Lou and now wish I´d kept in touch with her after I retired. She was a breath of fresh air, always upbeat and with a great sense of humor! Take care, dear friend. You are missed.
