Michael Adler Obituary

May 10, 1949 - November 9, 2022 Mike Adler passed away at home a few days after his 45th wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Dr. Brenda Fabe. Mike lived a rich and fulfilling life, enjoying time with family, travel, concerts and Laker games. Mike was born in San Francisco, the first child of Sig and Dianne Adler, who escaped the Holocaust in Germany and made a better life for their family in America. His parents' experience instilled in Mike an appreciation for what he had and the people he loved. Mike loved the State of Israel, Jewish culture and Judaism, and found many of his deepest friendships in his youth at Camp Ramah in Ojai, and as an adult with his Havurah at Temple Adat Ariel in Valley Village. Mike was a hard-working and brilliant student, graduating from UCLA undergrad and law school, sandwiched around a master's degree in Near Eastern studies from Columbia University. Mike's entertainment law practice flourished over the years, eventually as a partner at Lichter Grossman Nichols Adler Feldman Clark in West Hollywood, where his clients won Oscars, Emmys, Tonys and Grammys. It was through his links to Hollywood that Mike delighted his children, Jeremy and Rachel, with movie premieres and personal connections to artists and entertainers. Mike relished wrestling over a deal, but he valued most the relationships with clients and colleagues he built through his career. His four grandchildren came along just in time for him to impart his lifelong love of mischief and sense of humor.

Mike is survived by his wife, Dr. Brenda Fabe, son, Jeremy Adler (Susan Smith), daughter, Rachel Adler (Jonah King), and grandchildren Annabella, Jacob, Sasha and Izzy. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Carolyn Adler.

Mike was not only my trusted attorney, but one of the finest persons I have ever known. He "had my back" for my entire career, and I know I am not alone in wanting to say, "I just loved this man."
