My condolences to Michael's family and life partner. Mike was one of the sweetest and kindest people I have known. He was not only my accountant; he was a warm and friendly man who always made me feel good. Last saw Mike with his partner, waiting in a long line at an Avett Brothers concert. So glad to have that memory. You will be missed, Mike.

Heartfelt sympathy for Mike's passing. We were very good friends in the 8th through 10 grade, along with Rick Jacobs. Was looking forward to spending time with him at our 50th HS reunion, just like the 40th. The tragedy of life. I'll miss you my friend... Monny Sklov

We met Mike 15 years ago and he made the annually dreaded tax filing a time of fellowship and joy. He was always more interested in who we were and what our joys and sorrows were. We used to joke with him that he should not have been an accountant but rather a professional fund raiser. But Mike was too honest to be involved with politics.
William Arthur Ward wrote: Each of us one day will be judged by our standard of life- not by our standard of living; by our measure of giving- not by our measure of wealth; by our simple goodness- not by our seeming greatness.
Mike, by every measure your life was a life well lived. Lisa and I will always miss you and when we think of you we will always smile.

Hi, my name is Jeremy Haft and Mike was my accountant since I moved out here many years ago -- not only was Mike a great CPA, he was always incredibly kind, and took his time explaining things to me -- over time he became more like a friend than an accountant. We emailed every few months, and I will miss his humor and kindness. One story to share with you, is that when I moved here in the 90's -- pre internet and pre GPS, I thought Encino (where I live now) was another world, and Mike would always kindly guide me, give me directions, over and over -- I would always call him lost from a pay phone, and he always guided me to his office. I was just there this am and learned of his passing. I'm sorry. I will miss him.

My brother Rick was Mikes dearest and oldest best friend since the 2nd grade... as we all grew up together. May God keep Mike's soul in eternal bliss and peace and may God wrap his loving arms around all his loved ones, may he givie them strength and eternal peace at this very tough time.Now he is reunited with his parents...
