Milton Scott Obituary

SCOTT, Milton Bradley A respected and successful Santa Barbara and Hollywood businessman, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at the age of 87 years. Art Commissioner for the city of Los Angeles for 12 years, Scott also was involved in film production, advertising, manufacturing, art, and owned a variety of business enterprises. He owned the M.B. Scott Building on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, where he based his film production company, producing many theatrical and television releases. Private family services were held at the family estate in Santa Barbara. Scott is survived by his devoted family, including his daughter Linda Laughlin and her son Scott Warner Laughlin, and Mr. Scott's son, Bradley Sterling Scott and his four children. He is also survived by his stepmother, Ann Scott and his half-sister, Valerie Scott. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of M.B. Scott to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 689, Santa Barbara, CA 93102.
