Narendra Gupta Obituary
September 30, 1943 - July 1, 2015 Dr. Narendra Kumar Gupta, age 71, peacefully passed away after a brave struggle with lung disease in Los Angeles surrounded by his family. He grew up in New Delhi, India and practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Los Angeles for over 35 years, delivering over 8,000 babies including multiple generations in many families. He traveled around the world with his family, and loved golf, fine dining, and all of the finer things in life. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, his three children and their spouses, and three grandchildren. Services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier in the Sky Rose Chapel on July 5 from 11am-1230pm. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to www.homelessprenatal.org to honor his legacy of unwavering dedication to his patients.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Please know that Dr.Gupta will be in our hearts for years to come as he has touched so many lives with his kind and gentle heart. He delivered 3 of my siblings and 3 of my own babies. I'd like to share an experience I still speak of to this day. My first C-section was unexpected and I was young and terrified of everything happening so fast and I was hysterically crying but mostly when it was time for the spinal tap to be inserted in my back, as I've always been very scared of needles. It was an urgent situation and my hysteria was holding things up, then Gupta told the room to stop for a moment and he came in front of me and very calmly embraced both my arms and looked at me and said " look at me, right now I'm not your Dr. but your friend and it's going to be ok" and he hugged me and let me lean on his shoulder while they finished the shot. I'll never forget it. He was kind and really cared. I'm proud and greatfull for him to have been the one to help bring my precious babies into the world..your legacy will live on in the lives you've touched. My condolences to your family. Dr. Gupta delivered my son Joesph , Ruben ,my daughter Brianna. He was an excellent Dr.he was truly interested in giving his patients the best care, he was a caring and kind man who shared the joy when delivering a new baby .My deepest condolences to his Family, Dr. Gupta you will be missed . I'm so saddened by just hearing of Dr Guptas passing! He helped me when I was lost and pregnant back in 2008 with my son. He was amazing! Every visit was so pleasant and made me feel very assured that my son and myself were in the best care! My condolences to this wonderful doctors family! He will be truly missed!!! I was hoping he could assist me now with my second pregnancy but he is now resting peacefully. May you have found the light!

Dr. Gupta delivered my daughter Natasha Gonzalez in 1986. And many many more from my sister in laws babies and her cousins babies! God Bless Dr. Gupta calming me down while i was in labor and I had a C-Section so I have his great work on me I will always treasure more then a scar. RIP Sincere to your family so many who loved you.

I am so sad to hear about the passing of Dr.Gupta he was such an amazing doctor. He delivered both of my babies and he was always so caring, and understanding would always ask if everything was ok or if they're were any question. No question was too small or unimportant to him. I really am with such a heavy heart right now, he was such a great man. My condolences to his family and staff. You will be deeply missed.

My heart is heavy to hear the passing of Dr. Gupta. I have had the privilege to be apart of Dr. Gupta's life since 2006 & he delivered all three of my daughters. I went to Dr. Gupta time and time again because I trusted him with my life & he took such good care of me that I felt a special connection to him. I'm extremely sadden to hear he passed & my sincere condolences go out to his family & staff. His humor will never be forgotten & I will always appreciate everything he did for me. May you be resting peacefully Dr. Gupta.....missed & never, ever forgotten!!!!!

My heart is at a lose of words, he was my Dr for almost 16years.. To hear the news that he is no longer with us breaks my heart. He delivered 2 of my children. He was and is a Great Dr!!! He always took care of me when I thought something was my wrong and I didn't feel good. I would drive to see him all the way from the valley, he was worth the drive.I am going to miss him deeply.. Dr. Gupta saved my mom's life she was diagnosed with endometrial cancer first stage she went to other doctors didn't do anything went to Dr. Gupta he did a biopsy and there it was Cancer. My mom is cancer free for 2 years. Prayers to the family.

My heart is heavy as I hear the news of my dear Dr. Gupta, he had been my Dr for 27 years delivered 2 of my 3 children. At my last appointment he told me he needed to continue working through he sickness because if he stayed home he would die. My prayers and thoughts go out to the Family..His office(all) workers..Connie I remember the most but there's so much I would like 2 say just not enough room to say enough &give a WONDERFUL DOCTOR as Dr Gupta the praise this man so deserves..He became my Dr when I couldn't get help & understanding I needed frm any other Dr. They had no idea what was wrong w/me but not soon after my visits w/him started he found wat no other could & that's because he cared & also never saw anyone w/the kind of Cancer he found & frm that time on he always remember me which he saw many faces but even at a time n my life that was the ugliest he made me fill I would make it thru this bump & guess wat I HAVE & I HAVE HIM TO THANK

I've know Dr Gupta for over 30 yrs., he delivered my 3 children, my 5 grandchildren, and multiple niece's and nephews, and great niece's and nephews! He was such a caring Dr. He will be truly missed.
