Dr. Roth's practice was in San Marino, CA. He was my eye doctor for many years. Back in the day, the "band" used to practice in the basement of the building. Dr. Roth was one of those with a genuine bedside manner. I still think of him now and then, his wit, and his "illustrious" son. R.I.P. Dr. Roth!

Dear Roth Family,
It’s been many years since
I had the honor of meeting Dr. Roth. I was attending Pasadena City College and interviewed with him for an office assistant in his medical office. I recall how incredibly kind he was and mentioned how much he loved his children. At that moment I looked up to see photos of them and thinking how “cool” he was to have a photo of David Lee Roth on his wall, of course not putting the two together prior. Unfortunately, i was not hired but my memory of his kindness I will cherish always. May Dr. Roth forever rest in peace and may all of you continue to cherish him in your hearts.
Many blessings to all of you.
Respectfully,

Geri Schwartz

I will never forget the night at the plaza hotel I met him.I was married to a a retinal surgeon:When I walked into the room at the opthalogy function he approached me with such class. He introduced himself and right away I asked are you David lees dad. And he said yes I was so impressed how he smiled and was a surgeon and knew my ex husband; what a bright amazing surgeon. And was so down to earth and kind, forever in my heart.

I had the privilege of being a special friend of Nathan's in the late 80's. Although our paths went different ways - he has remained in my heart. I had the opportunity to meet several of you - his family, including visits to New York and Boston. Warmest memories.

You are all in this fan's thoughts and prayers. Just as music can touch a stranger's life, so can prayer, I hope, in times such as these. There is nothing more important than family. God Bless.
