Nobuko Lockwood Obituary

LOCKWOOD, Nobuko (1939 - 2008) Nobuko Lockwood 68, of Beaverton Oregon died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Vancouver, WA. She was born November 20, 1939 at Keiho Chosu, Korea to Tadashi and Masu Sugimura. She became a U.S. citizen in 1966. She worked at the Shiat-Su Center and was a hostess in the Sambi Restaurant of Tokyo, in Downey, CA for many years. Nobuko married Frederick M. Lockwood December 27, 1986 in Las Vegas, NV. They moved to Beaverton, OR in 2005. Mrs. Lockwood is survived by her husband Frederick of Beaverton, OR; sister Shigeku Sugimura of Fukuoka, Japan; stepdaughter Deborah Lockwood of Rome, Italy; stepsons Frederick J. Lockwood of Chino Hills, CA, William H. Lockwood of Vancouver, WA, Stephen E. Lockwood of San Diego, CA, Peter M. Lockwood of Torrance, CA; ten grandchildren. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Nobuko Lockwood Memorial Fund at Jesuit High School, 9000 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, Portland, OR 97225. A Celebration of Nobuko's Life will be held Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in the Beaverton Lodge at 12900 SW 9th St., Beaverton, OR 97005. Mrs. Lockwood's ashes will be inurned in the San Fernando Mission Cemetery, Mission Hills, CA. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home, Inc. Vancouver, WA (360) 694-2537
