Dy, Paul B. (39)
Born September 21, 1963, Paul passed away after respiratory failure in Los Angeles on March 11, 2003. He touched the hearts of countless relatives and friends with his noble generosity, vivacious personality, and caring nature. An incredibly gifted visual artist and designer, Paul attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Diego before moving to Los Angeles in 1985. He worked twelve years in the entertainment industry for Village Roadshow Pictures in both Century City and Burbank. Most recently, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of studying architecture at Santa Monica College. Paul leaves behind a loving mother, Rosemary Hoffman, three cherished sisters Heather Hoffman, Mora Ward, and Linda Kyle, brothers Tom Dy and Bill Dy, and many adored nieces, nephews, and cousins. His extended family included his beloved companion, Doug Doty, as well as Yvonne Hollwedel, Jackie Bender, Sharie Bender, and an infinite number of friends. Paul possessed a wealth of creativity. His passions included entertaining, cooking, and traveling. He treasured his dogs, and loved spending time with children. His zest for life enchanted everyone who crossed his path. Paul thoughtfully devoted his time to supporting others materially, emotionally, and spiritually. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2003, at 2 p.m., at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries, Hollywood Hills, (800)600-0076. All are welcome.

We will miss Paul more than words can express. He was such a special person, and brought such joy to our lives. We loved him, and will never forgot what a special person he was.
