I met Dr Paul Guth in 1974 as a medical intern at Wadsworth. He was a wonderful teacher and role model and I was lucky enough to take a Fellowship in GI and work closely with him from 1977-1979. I was most impressed when Paul politely corrected a visiting scientist from England who was obviously an anti-Zionist about the history of the founding of the State of Israel. The visiting professor was totally confounded and the GI fellows ( especially the Jewish ones ) were very proud! Baruch Dayan Emet. Steve Weinstock, MD
