Prudence Holguin Obituary

HOLGUIN , Prudence Ayala
born September 1927, in the city of Long Beach, California to Carmel and Antonio Ayala, has passed away on August 6, 2007. Our mother was a beautiful woman both by nature and in spirit. The gift she leaves with us is a legacy of love. The strength and character of her love brings courage, truth and understanding to our lives.
As a Montessori Directress of the highest quality, Mrs. Holguin has given loving guidance to so many precious children placed in her care throughout her career. The unconditional love felt by those of us lucky enough to call her wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sister, auntie or friend, is a treasure we keep in our hearts forever. We will truly miss her kindness, her unwavering ability to see through to the goodness of people and especially her positive approach to life.
Prudence proudly claimed her California heritage and was a long time member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West whose mission includes education, conservation and restoration of our great state. Any donations in lieu of flowers ca n be sent to NDGW Whittier Parlor #298, Children's Scholarship Fund.
Mother, thank you. Your wisdom will always be with us to guide us along the way until we all come home.
