I'll never forget the signature move: sliding your guitar case WAY across the studio floor, in advance of your arrival at the gig. I looked forward to that when I acommpanied my dad, Bill Pitman, to the various sessions you both were on. Not only was it too hip, as you were undoubtedly always one of the baddest cats in the room, but you were also exceedingly kind and generous to me, which, along with your great talent and impeccable class, are what I will remember you for most.
R.I.P., good Sire.
