Robert Elder Obituary

December 22, 1935 - September 23, 2017 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Robert James Elder. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Anne Shier Elder, his daughter Kimberley Anne Elder Wolf and husband Jeffrey Wolf, grandson Matthew Gregory Wolf and his wife Megan Lewis Wolf. After leaving Art Center College of Design, Robert pursued a long, successful career in design (product, graphics, architecture, interiors). He was a voracious reader, lover of music, art collector, traveler, and a supportive teacher and mentor. He made friends and strangers laugh with political videos he produced and posted on YouTube. His flawless architectural and interior design style will forever be admired by many. Robert was a kind, generous, enthusiastic person who pursued life with gusto. In his own words, he lived "a great life" and had no regrets. A true lover of all art forms, he created beauty and made the world a more beautiful place. He wanted no services. Donations in his memory may be made to the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center and the City of Hope.
