In March 1992 I went to Little Co. Mary Hospital emergency with a heart attack. Dr. Grossman attended to me. As they were wheeling me in for a cardiogram I looked into Dr. Grossman's face and asked him if he was any good. He responded "damn right I am". That gave me the confidence in him that I needed at a critical time. He treated me for a few years after. Another time I was scheduled for an angioplasty. The office sent me to Little Co. of Mary Hospital. Dr. Grossman was waiting for me at Torrance Memorial. After waiting for an inordinate time at Little Co. of Mary Hospital I asked the nurse to double check my appointment. She discovered they were waiting for me at Torrance Memorial Hospital. At that time Dr. Grossman got in his car and drove to Little Co. of Mary Hospital picked me up and we drove back to Torrance Memorial for an angioplasty. I missed him so much after he left Cor Healthcare. He was such a great guy. I'm in tears as I write this....... May God be with him. He was a great human being. My sincere condolences to all his family.

Donna, Garbo, Miles,
So very sad regarding the passing of your dad. It was such a pleasure to know him as a father, a true soccer dad! He was always lots of fun to hang out with at the club tournaments. It was also an honor for both Mark and I to know him professionally. He was a well regarded medical professional and a great health advocate to the beach cities. You are in our thoughts. Respectfully, Mark Leah Megan Rachel and Mason Klein

I am truly sad to here of this.

My wife, Sarah Fandey, was a patient of Dr. Grossman in 2002. She might not be alive today if Dr. Grossman had not persisted in finding her problem. An EKG was not definitive so he ordered a tread mill test. That test did not reveal any problem. The next procedure was a stress tress test and this was also non conclusive. The net test was an angiogram. This showed on aorta 90% blocked and two others were 70% blocked. My wife had a successful three way bypass.
I am thankful that Dr. Grossman persisted in testing until he could make the right diagnosis.

Dear Donna, Garbo, Miles and Carol,
I am so sorry to learn of Robert's death and can only imagine the great sadness you feel. He was a special man and a thoughtful colleague. I enjoyed many philosophical discussions with him and was inspired by him every time we met. He always spoke of his love of family, friends and health care. His pride in both Garbo and Miles achievements was part of every conversation we shared. I am so sorry for you loss and for the loss of a truly lovely person. Remember all the good times, the special memories you had with him.

To the Grossman family, Jimmy and I are devastated by his loss. Robby had just emailed us about a month ago to let us know that he would be visiting us in Santa Barbara THIS weekend (July 25th) as he would be here for a race. Carol - I don't know if you remember us - my maiden name was Liz Shaw and Jimmy went to Wisconsin with Robby. We lost touch with Robby when we moved from the South Bay, but re-connected in the last several years. As a result, we do not know Miles and Garbo as adults (we last saw them as small children). Robby always told us great stories about them. It is hard to imagine this world without him. We send much love to you and the rest of his family. Please let us know if there is a memorial we can attend. You can contact me at [email protected]. Our deepest sympathy, Liz & Jimmy Baron
