Robert Mitteldorf Obituary
October 25, 1934 - March 29, 2014 It is with great sadness in our hearts that Robert A. Mitteldorf (Bob), 79, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Bob has left in his wake an almost 80 year trail of laughter, generosity, compassion, and wisdom. He will be greatly missed and leaves his wife of 53 years, Peggy Mitteldorf, his daughter Marci Freed and son-in-law Kenneth Freed, his son Brian Mitteldorf and daughter-in-law Tracy Mitteldorf, as well as seven grandchildren, Sara, Rebecca and Miles Freed, and Ariella, Samuel, Mason and Aiden Mitteldorf, and many other family members and close friends too numerous to list but none forgotten. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to The Lustgarten Foundation at Lustgarten.org. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on March 31, 2014 at Mount Sinai Memorial Park, Los Angeles, CA.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Dear Peggy, So sorry to hear of your loss. I know we haven't spoken in years but you and Bob and the wonderful times we shared when we were neighbors in Sherman Oaks are often on my mind. My condolences to you and your family. RIP Jolly Green Giant..

Dear Peggy,
The Mitteldorf cousins grew up in a tight knit family but drifted apart in our adult years; and that is one of my greatest regrets. Bobby was like a younger brother to me, and I am so sorry that I can never see him again. I remember his pride in his beautiful young wife back in Michigan. And when we visited you and your young family 25 years ago, were delighted to see how successful and happy you all were.
Now most of those cousins are gone and Bob has joined them. We can't know the pain you and your family feel right now, but know that we can appreciate how hard it has been!
