S. Robert Polito

January 20, 1922 - August 13, 2015 Dr. Bob Polito was born in Hollywood CA to Sol and Frances Polito. Bob was a graduate of St. Catherine's Military Academy (1936); Loyola High School (1940) and Loyola University (1943). He received his M.D. from St. Louis University School of Medicine in 1946 during WWII. He had a family practice in Reseda CA for 35 years and retired to move to Valley Center, CA where they had property and later developed the current Polito Family Farms. He enjoyed a marriage of nearly 69 years to Rose D'Agostino and was blessed with 9 children, 23 grandchildren and 21 great grand children. It was his desire to donate his body to medical research (UCSD) to assist in the training of future physicians. He is preceded in death by his brother Eugene Polito. Bob is survived by his wife, Rose and their 9 children; Paul (Helen), Dave (Emily), Bob (Mary) Peggy Polito (Jerry), Kate Carpenter (Tim), Virginia Hazboun (George), Vince (Gena), Fran Algya (Chris) and Al (Leah). Services will be held September 12 at 11 am. St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Valley Center, CA In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Youth, 31020 Cole Grade Rd., Valley Center, CA 92082 or the Right to Life League, 1028 N Lake Ave #207, Pasadena, CA 91104.
