We think of Sam and Barbara often with so much fondness and truly miss them. It was only a brief friendship but it was rich and we will always cherish the time we had with them.

We met Sam & Barbara in 2013 while my husband, Mark was working in downtown LA. They lived down the hall from us at our apartment building in Santa Monica by the ocean. We met them soon after we moved in and immediately fell in love with them. We loved spending time with them and could listen to Sam's stories of the war all day long! Barbara had so many great stories as well. I used to make apple pie for Sam and he loved it! Those two and a half years we spent with them will always hold a special place in our hearts. We feel so privileged and blessed to have known them.
