Sandra Mansour Obituary

December 21, 1942 - November 15, 2022 Sandra was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to Jacobo and Adela Gabrie. She came to Los Angeles in 1959, speaking little English, and met the love of her life, Anthony "Tony" Mansour, who spoke little Spanish. It was love at first sight. They adored each other for the duration of their 59-year marriage and built a wonderful life together. Sandra was a loving and active mom to her three sons, always involved in their schools and activities. In her later years, spending time with her grandchildren was the greatest joy in her life.
Sandra was an eternal optimist and her indisputable beauty shone from within. She was a devout Catholic and was generous both in spirit and in her charitable involvements. She never opened a charitable request without sending a donation back.
A fabulous and effortless cook, Sandra loved to entertain her family and friends. Her tamales would be the first thing that her family would want on Christmas morning, prized even above the gifts.
Sandra was quiet and soft spoken, but she was always right in the middle of the fun. She was up for any party, and the first to line up the tequila shots. Her kindness, gentle spirit and beautiful smile touched anyone who met her.
Sandra is survived by her devoted children, Louis (Carie Ann), Jack (Carolyn) and Anthony Jr. (Amanda), her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her siblings, Leila, Zenaida, and Jacob, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, her parents, and her sister, Maria Elena Yuja.
Her family is grateful to her loving caregivers, Aida and Marta.
Mass will be held at St. Brendan Church, Los Angeles on Friday, December 2 at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent Meals on Wheels (www.svmow.org).
