Serene Felt

Felt, Serene Leavenworth Of Los Angeles, CA, wife of the late Irving Mitchell Felt, dies at 95. Devoted mother of the late Randolph Leavenworth III and beloved widow of Irving Mitchell Felt, former Chairman of Madison Square Garden, Serene passed peacefully on November 29th. She is survived by her loving twin granddaughters, Nicole and Alexandra Leavenworth, and a brother, Joseph Bihari. Born February 18, 1917, in Pottstown, PA, she worked as an executive buyer for Saks Fifth Ave for over 20 years. As a philanthropist, she was a supporter of the Metropolitan Opera of New York City and the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies as well as serving as a member of the Pepperdine University Board, as a Trustee of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and as a member of the Board of Directors of Community Television of Southern California. Funeral services will be held at Hillside Memorial Park in Los Angeles, CA, on Sunday, December 2, 2012, at 9am.
