Sherwin Z. "Sandy" Rosen D.D.S.

Rosen, Sherwin Z. "Sandy", D.D.S. Died of cancer at home in Palos Verdes on Oct. 27, at age 63. He graduated from Hamilton High School in 1956, attended USC from 1956-1958, and graduated from U.C. San Francisco Dental School in 1962. He served as a Captain in the USAF in Tokyo, Japan (1962-1964) and practiced dentistry in Palos Verdes Estates for 35 years. He served as a clinical instructor at UCLA Dental School for 10 years and USC's School of Dentistry for 19 years. Always striving to better his profession, he took leadership roles as President of the Western Los Angeles Dental Society, Trustee of the California Dental Association, and as a Delegate to the American Dental Association. This much beloved man is survived by his wife Debora Semenov Rosen; his mother Beatrice Rosen; his daughters Sharon Rosen Leib and Dina Rosen; his son Frederick Rosen; son-in-law Richard Leib; granddaughters, Hannah, Joelle, and Lilyanne Leib; his sister Maureen Rosen (and Anthony) Raynes; his brother Gerald (and Barbara) Rosen; his nieces Emma and Chloe Raynes, and Amanda McConnell; and his nephew David (and Jeanette) Rosen.
