Shirley TAIRA Obituary

TAIRA, Shirley K. (Toma) Age 72 passed away on September 17, 2011. She was predeceased by her brothers, Wally and Harold Toma; sisters-in-law, Shizue Toma, Haruko Ishizawa, and Florence Taira; brothers-in-law, Joe Tani, Jim Ishizawa, and Harley Taira; she is survived by her beloved husband, David Taira; daughters, Lisa (Tommie) Tamanaha, Karen (Brian) Taira-Fujimori and Cheryl (fiance Dave Pratesa) Taira; son, Derek Taira; grandson, Jackson Fujimori; brothers, Richard (Fusako) Toma, Melvin Toma, Rodney (Flo) Toma, Ronald (Mary) Toma, and Robert (Faye) Toma; sisters, Doris (Tak) Kato, Lorraine Tani, and Irene (Walt) Yonamine; sisters-in-law, Donna Toma and Helen Taira; brother-in-law, Tom Taira. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 3:00 P.M. at Faith United Methodist Church, 2115 W. 182nd St., Torrance. The family kindly requests aloha attire. www.fukuimortuary.com 213-626-0441
