Spero Pastos Memoriam

February 18, 1937 - February 17, 2020 Son of the late William and Gregoria, youngest brother of the late Peter, late Gus (Audrey), Anna (late Sam) Katsekes, late John. Dear uncle to Connie, Bill, Alex, John, Rosanna, Genie, Nikos, Melina, Andrea, late Nicolette and Zara. Great uncle to 14. Dear cousin to the Sofios, Strategos, and Poteres families. Raised in Chicago, graduated from Amundsen HS and Northwestern University '59. Retired after 24 years at Glendale Unified Schools. Spero was an author, singer, dancer, actor, musician, yoga practitioner, art collector, world traveler (especially to Kythira), friend to many and longtime resident of Hollywood Hills.

I knew Spero briefly while I lived in Chicago. I moved to the Los Angeles area in the fall of 1977, and was not aware Spero had moved there as well. I, as an artist, found him to be spontaneously creative and a most enjoyable personality to be in the company of. I live in Iowa now, quite retired. Spero will be recalled to many fond memories.
