Stanley STEDDOM Obituary

STEDDOM, Stanley Orville If the world seems a little darker, you should know Stanley Orville Steddom died quietly after a long illness the evening of February 9 surrounded by loving family. Stan was a long time Southern California educator serving as a teacher at El Rancho High School and Principal of Artesia and Cerritos High Schools in the ABC school district. Upon retiring he thrived as an instructor in the graduate Cohort program at Cal State Dominguez Hills where he was able to use his long-time experiences as a principal to arm enthusiastic student "want-to-be's" in the wonders and pitfalls of school administration. Stan lived a full life and with his incredible knowledge, his passion and respect for education, his ability to understand and communicate with young people, and his outside-the-box solutions to problems, he was able to touch and make a difference in the lives of thousands of young people. How amazing is that? His sense of humor?--just stand back. We are proud to have had him in our family as husband, father and grandfather--our rock. We loved him dearly and will remember him always. Be good to those close to you and love each day.
