Stephen Jamison Obituary

12/31/61-4/26/21

With deepest sorrow, but in the certainty he lives on in peace and grace, we announce the passing of our beloved Stephen Jamison (aka Jamo), who died in his sleep after a brief illness.

Stephen is mourned by his sisters Stephanie Daigle and Dallas Jamison, his nieces, nephews and the wider group of Colorado and California-based family, friends and colleagues.

Those who knew Stephen best recall his passion for fast cars, worldwide travel and dogs. He was handsome, stylish and loved to laugh, but at his core, Stephen was a loyal, kind and compassionate brother, uncle, son and friend.

Stephen's family will honor his memory in a private celebration of his life. However, the family welcomes contact from those who loved Stephen too and also encourages them to post remembrances and photos on his Legacy.com obituary as a long-lasting tribute.
Published by Los Angeles Times from May 12 to May 16, 2021.

Jamo was always very happy to greet my husband and I when we took our cars in for service at RAC from 2003 to his leaving there. The RAC shuttle driver shared his passing & obituary here with me a few days ago. What a big loss. Yes, he was handsome, kind & had a fantastic smile. He certainly made my day when going to RAC. Keep his memories alive. Jane

I'll just say goodnight, Stephen though I know you're far away. But let me wish you this: May the sun be at your back on the journey you now take and a sweet breeze to your face. You left too soon. Sleep well, brother.

Stephen was always a Cali boy. Such joy on his face as the sun set over the water. Wishing him the soothing sounds of the Pacific Ocean and the bliss of a day at the beach forever.

Growing up with three older sisters- all of us pretty bossy- Stephen was seriously outnumbered. You couldn’t blame him for being slightly resentful toward women, but it was the opposite. His treated all of the women in his life, and even strangers, with an old-fashioned respect and deference that is often missing in today’s society. Stephen, you were a true gentleman in every sense of that word.

Such fond memories of a football game a few years back when we celebrated Army beating Air Force. Stephen in his oh-so-stylish prime!
