Stuart Needleman Obituary

January 4, 1936 - May 9, 2024 Stuart W. Needleman, 88, beloved father, grandfather, and uncle, died at home peacefully in Los Angeles on May 9, 2024.
Stu was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Los Angeles at age 13 with his father and mother, Max and Ada, along with his sisters, Joan and Marlene in 1949.
Stu graduated from Hamilton High School in 1956 before attending Los Angeles City College and the Southern California College of Optometry,
Stu obtained his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1961, and began his career as an Optometrist, practicing in Century City for over fifty years.
Stu loved his family and is survived by his 3 children, Jill, Bruce (Brenda) and Phillip (Julie) and his grandchildren, Samantha, Austen, Teva and Sloane.
Stu enjoyed spending time with family and friends, world travel, golf, Scotch Whiskey, and fine cigars. Stu took an active role in many charitable organizations including as the past President the B'nai Brith. He was also a 4th degree Mason and the past President of the Century City Rotary Club.
Memorial services will be held on May 14, 2024, at 12:00pm in the large chapel at Hillside Memorial Park in Culver City.
